I heard Martin Atkins on NPR tonight, promoting his new book for touring bands. It was fun interview and he’s quite realistic about life on tour. Reminds me of last summer when the Bastards went on tour Summer 2007 and all the late night phone calls, drama, getting calls after too many drinks on your birthday, more drama. And no, I was not touring the country, although sometimes I felt I was along for the adventure!  The tour blog was collected on LokiLoka.

Here is a link to a live performance of “Reckless Life”.  In 1986 Guns and Roses was freakin’ great.  This is one of my two favorite songs that they ever did.  The one other is “Nice Boys Don’t Play Rock’n'Roll”.  I would love to cover either of these someday.  You’ll find some other videos of live performances of this song related to this one here also.
